I retained Mr. Hankins to handle an out of state child support case which he pushed back several months putting me in arrears. He outlined several things he planned to ask for saying it would be a give and take situation and we wouldn't get all of the stipulations but should get some, he got nothing and was ok with that. I made calls to his office for 2 years trying to address issues to which his secretary would take a message and apologize again, knowing he wouldn't call back. What few times I got to talk to him was because he confused me with other clients then said "let me call you back I'm not in the office and don't have your case available here". His services never lived up to what he promised before getting his retaining fee and if he considered he provided all required actions for the payment amount rendered it was never stated he just avoided my contact attempts. I'd seek different representation if I were you.
The best lawyer I have ever met. He made a very difficult situation practically go away and then got us custody of our daughters. Hands down will use him again for any legal troubles we happen across.
I would have to rate Mike Hankins as a very poor attorney. I called him 7 times with no call back ever. I called to ask if they can do a small claims affidavit for my mother passing away and told him I had a small window of a few months for an opportunity to get some things organized. I need a couple hours of the time to get things done and he never gave me a minute. I could of gone with a different attorney had I known he was going to blow me off. He never once called me back and as a result I lost thousands of dollars due to his inconsiderate lack of professionalism. I would not recommend his services to anyone especially dealing with the loss of my mother he made it 10 times harder when I lost almost everything. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for a different attorney that cares for your needs. His website looks nice and he'll probably talk the talk but proof is in the showing and he doesn't even care enough to make any effort! Extremely disappointed!! We have just Mike a few time the last couple of years and will use him again if we need too. He truly cares about his work and the people he represents. I felt like it was not about the money for him.
