Great bookstore.
My hometown, Jacksonville, Illinois, is lucky to have the Nursses and this bookstore. It is located in an early 20th century building on the Jacksonville Square, which the city is rescuing from mid-century urban renewal.
This is exactly the store this town needed! These are the nicest people to run a store and they have created a wonderful environment that lends itself to readers of every walk.

I visit Our Town Books almost every time I am home and with an interest in history always find something of interest, new or used. The owners are cool with customers--and interactive. Not long ago I mentioned the book, "The Woman Behind the New Deal: The Life of Frances Perkins." As FDR's secretary of labor, Mrs. Perkins was the brains behind the New Deal. By the time I left, Mrs. Nurss had ordered it.
